In 2003, Kseniya Punina graduated from the Faculty of Politology of the Perm State University, and in 2006 she completed postgraduate courses. She defended was conferred PhD in Political Sciences.
In 2004, she participated in the training for moderators within the framework of the moderators within the framework of the program "Liberal societies and liberal tables" of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.
In 2005 – 2006, she worked at the educational projects "School of Public Policy" of the interregional public organization "Open Russia".
In 2002 – 2005, Kseniya Punina worked in the administration of the Legislative Assembly of the Perm Region.

Since February, 2012, she has been Deputy Head of the PR and Marketing Department of the Perm State National Research University, Assistant of the Department of Political Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of State and Municipal Management of the Perm State National Research University.
