Arkady Dvorkovich, Vladimir Mau, Rustam Minnikhanov open RANEPA’s Summer Campus

On July 18 in the research city of Innopolis, Tatarstan, the opening ceremony for the annual international education forum RANEPA’s Summer Campus 2016 took place, at which Vladimir Mau, Arkady Dvorkovich, Rustam Minnikhanov and Alexander Povalko spoke.

RANEPA’s Summer Campus is focused on creating a new generation of leaders and intellectuals. The Campus’s constant academic director is Chairman of the Russian State Duma of the Federation Council, chairman of the RANEPA Board of Trustees Sergei Naryshkin. He spoke to the students via video conference during the opening ceremony. “The main task of this forum is to help show you what you’re made of, talented and promising young people,” Sergei Naryshkin said.

Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich emphasized the effectiveness of the event’s format and spoke to the participants: “This is a site for ideas, which then will be transformed into projects. This is an opportunity to give you the skills and knowledge which will enable you to become leaders.”

RANEPA’s Summer Campus was organized together with the government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event is taking place at the Kazan ski sports complex and in the city of Innopolis. “We are happy to have hosted Summer Campus for the last five years, and invite the best of the best,” Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said. Deputy Education and Science Minister Alexander Povalko praised the Summer Campus students for the correct choice they made for their own development. “Approaching a new level demands work. I think that this here will be interesting for you,” he said.

Then Vladimir Mau held a discussion among the distinguished speakers on the topic of state development through personal development. The guests of the Summer Campus shared their opinions about the development of education, and especially noted the role of human capital. In the framework of RANEPA’s Summer Campus, innovative methods of education will be used, which may translate into use at universities across the country.

International education forum RANEPA Summer Campus is taking place on July 16-27. A rich program is planned for the participants. The forum is happening already for the fifth time, and in this time more than 7,000 students have participated in the Campus, of which 900 became graduates. Students prepared and defended more than 100 projects as part of the event.
