The Summer Campus of RANEPA is taking place on July 16-27 in the city of Innopolis. On July 18, at 10:00 a.m. the campus is being opened by Russian Communications and Mass Media Minister Nikolai Nikiforov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau.

RANEPA’s Summer Campus traditionally brings together the best students of RANEPA from various federal regions of the country, from Adygea to the Far East. Besides students from the regional branches of RANEPA, students from the Kazan National Research Technological University, Kazan State Power Engineering University and a number of other leading Russian universities are also participating.

In addition, 57 foreign students from Great Britain, Spain, China, Israel, South Africa, India, Serbia and other countries are coming to the Campus. In order to participate in the project, students underwent a thorough selection process. In total, more than 7,000 applications were submitted for RANEPA’s Summer Campus.

Over the course of 10 days, Campus participants will be tasked with resolving real cases connected with conflicts. The participants will be able to try their hand in issues concerning business, government, history, society, careers, psychology, culture and art. Ivan Fedotov, the Summer Campus’s director, RANEPA Vice Rector and Director of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR), said: “Learning to properly get out of conflicts, this means to win, and we are raising winners.”

Students in their second and third years are participating in the project, the majority of which still have not formulated their priorities, and the Campus is giving them such an opportunity. Students will be able to choose which role they will play on a team, and under the direction of experienced tutors, they will determine the direction towards which they need to work. Master’s students from foreign universities will serve as moderators of the teams.

“This is an international project, and almost of a third of the people at the Campus do not speak Russian. Therefore we set English as the language of the Campus. Students will have to do a lot of independent work with sources of information, various databases, websites, and on the Russian internet there is not the same amount of information as can be found in English. Namely therefore it is important to us that the Campus participants use English in their daily work,” Ivan Fedotov said.

The organizers of RANEPA’s Summer Campus are RANEPA, the government of the Republic of Tatarstan with the support of ACIG Group of Companies.
