Summer Campus participants propose ideas for Youthempowered internet platform development (VIDEO)
Alisa Vasilyeva, Head of Sustainability and Community at Coca-Cola HBС Russia, met with the RANEPA Summer Campus participants to tell them about the new educational internet platform, Youthempowered; the students successfully solved a case aimed at improving it.
Alisa Vasilyeva began with an introductory lecture on the current situation among young people in Russia. According to the speaker, one of the problems is high unemployment, 15% among young people aged 20 to 24. Explaining this situation, she said that employers are interested in negotiating skills and creating presentations; analytical thinking, time management and project management skills also play a significant role.
Modern business skills are important and can help start a business or find a decent job, the expert said. Coca-Cola has launched a program to improve young people’s competitiveness in the labor market. During Vasilyeva’s lecture, the participants were asked to solve cases to improve this project. The students were divided into several groups – one was to determine the development track of the English-language internet platform youthempowered.ng, supplement its content and suggest methods for motivating people to complete the training modules. The others carried out a SWOT analysis of the one-page website, youthempowered.ru, and created their own strategy for its promotion.
Each team presented unusual and interesting solutions. The students proposed improving the platform’s functionality, and shared ideas on enriching the program and motivating people to stay in the project.
The International Summer Campus of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) is a unique annual educational project for best students of Russian and foreign universities.
