Work of RANEPA's fifth Summer Campus completed
On July 27 in the city of Innopolis, Tatarstan the closing ceremony for RANEPA’s Summer Campus international education form took place, this forum took place over the course of 11 days in the Kazan Recreation Center. The ceremony was attended by Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.
The prime minister of Tatarstan expressed his admiration for the participants in Campus 2016, remarking upon the high level of the forum. “I hope that you take from here not only knowledge, but also friendship and love,” Mr. Khalikov said and he invited them to visit events in Kazan.
Ivan Fedotov, the director of Summer Campus, vice rector of RANEPA and director of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, congratulated the attendees about the fact that they will always be part of the project. In the entire period of the forum’s existence, about 1,000 students have participated. “At the same time you can only go to this event once, therefore for you it is over forever,” Ivan Fedotov told the students. The role of Tatarstan and the republic’s president, Rustam Minnikhanov, in the organization of Summer Campus was noted. “The ideology of the campus for you to undergo education in a realistic atmosphere of what awaits you in the future. It is necessary to constantly make a choice and know how to answer for your actions,” Ivan Fedotov said. “We hope that this game allowed you to answer the question about who you are and we want to believe that you justify our hopes.”
The director of the group of tutors, Yevgeny Mironov, said that special feature of the campus is that it never ends. Namely here ideas emerged for many joint projects of participants, who found real partners for themselves. “Not very many people have such an experience as the one you had at the campus. This will impact the rest of your lives,” Yevgeny Mironov told the students. He also noted the work of the tutors, who with a lot of dedication helped students in resolving cases.
At the closing ceremony for RANEPA’s Summer Campus prizes were awarded to excellent participants. First one of the participants received a special prize, an invitation to Summer Campus-2017 as a moderator. This was Dias Sharafeyev from the Kazan Federal University. In addition, Yevgeny Mironov gave prizes to Dauda Kazazabrang (Kazan National Research Technological University) and Khalid Aliyah (Kazan National Research Technological University, Tupolev Institute of Aviation, Land Transport and Energy).
In each of the 12 groups, tutors and moderators selected one participant who, in their opinion, demonstrated the best performance during their work on the cases:

- Lorea Diez Fernandez (Team 6) – University of the Basque Country, Spain;
- Obadya Ray Shaguri (Team 7) – RANEPA, India;
- Leisan Minigulova (Team 8) – Kazan Federal University, Kazan;
- Akinyemi Akinola (Team 9) – Kazan State Power Engineering University, Nigeria;
- Fater Ben Jr. Akuhwa (Team 10) – Kazan State Power Engineering University, Nigeria;
- Michael Oyinloye (Team 11) – Kazan National Research Technological University, Nigeria;
- Olga Pavlushkova (Team 12) – Yaroslavl Demidov State University.
RANEPA’s Summer Campus brings together talented young people from Russia regions and abroad. This is a site for personal and professional growth. The project has been implemented for already the fifth time by RANEPA together with the government of Tatarstan. The size of the event is growing and this year among the 226 participants, there were 57 foreigners from 15 countries.
