Intercultural communication in large corporations, based on example of The Coca-Cola Company
On July 25, The Coca-Cola Company deputy director for HR and development Yulia Denisova-Akchakodzha gave RANEPA Summer Campus participants a lecture and answered their questions. The students learned about the intricacies of working with human resources.
The Coca-Cola Company is the most successful transnational corporation, which produces soft drinks. One of the reasons for its success is the team spirit and the cohesion of the huge team, notably the skillful management policy for personnel.
Using the work at such a multinational company as The Coca-Cola Company, she disclosed the meaning of the concept of intercultural integration. “We are striving to work with people and for people,” Yulia Denisova said. The company is implementing a new concept aimed at the cohesiveness of the team and the achievement of new heights, “2020 Vision”. This concept is focused on the creation of comfortable work conditions for employees and also cooperation with partners.
Significant attention was paid to the issue of the environment and protecting the planet. A large company has a great amount of responsibility. The ecological policy of the company includes rational water use, energy savings and recycling of waste. In addition, a number of programs are being implemented for the protection of the environment in Russia.
The Coca-Cola Company acts as a permanent sponsor of sporting events. In addition, for the support of the sporting spirit among personnel, since 2007 there has been a program in place, “Sports League”, and for the RANEPA Summer Campus participants, regular exercise programs are carried out, Yulia Denisova said.
