Key to the career. Summer Campus gathers Russia’s best students

Kazan hosts "Summer Campus the Presidential Academy: Territory of Opportunities". Getting in to this Campus is a great piece of luck for the students not only of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, but also of other leading Russian universities: you don’t talk on equal footing to the experts of the international level – politicians and managers – every day. Let alone presenting your first serious project.

Over 5000 students applied for the Campus. And only 300 of them were selected – the best students from 27 regions and finalists of the All-Russian contest "Sustainable Future of Russia-2013". This year the study at the Campus is arranged in three main educational tracks: public administration and development, business and entrepreneurship and public and social projects.

Forms of classes at the Campus – lectures, trainings and almost real parliamentary debate.

Distinguishing students of one department from the students of the another one is easy – according to the colour of their T-shirts. If you see some red T-shirts – these are "public administrators", yellow T-shirts – social projects are about to be developed, orange ones – new business ideas are on the way. When the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov heard about that at the opening ceremony, he asked whether he could take on all of them together? "We need universal specialists", he explained. The Campus Academic Advisor, Chairman of the Council of Trustees, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergei Naryshkin met with the representatives of all three departments. "For each sector of the economy we need professionals", he noted. The forms of classes at the Campus are lectures, trainings and almost real parliamentarian debates. "As for me, I would like to acquire not only knowledge, but also practical leadership skills, Valeria Konstantinova, the student from Kaluga region said. – Besides, as future businessmen, we are working with leaders and public figures. It is very important."
