Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy launches in Tatarstan
On July 17, Vladimir Mau, Rector of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration will deliver a lecture within the framework of the Summer Campus. The speaker’s lecture will be dedicated to the effective mechanisms of social and economic transformation of the country. The speaker will also answer the participant’s questions.
The program of the opening of the International educational forum "Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy" will continue with the lecture of Arkady Dvorkovich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, on the balanced governmental management. The meeting will take place in the format of a discussion with the Campus participants, which will be dedicated to the current directions of the interior policy of the country.
The Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy will take place on July 18 – 28 on the territory of the Ski sports recreation complex "Kazan". The Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy is one of the key educational platforms of the country, where promising young people of the RANEPA, its branches and universities of the Republic of Tatarstan, participants of the All-Russian Contest of Research and Project Works of Students and Post-Graduates "Sustainable Future of Russia - 2013" get a unique opportunity to participate in the training workshops given by the heads of federal and regional ministries, state organizations and business community representatives.
This year, the Summer Campus envisages intensive team and individual work in 3 departments, within the framework of which individual and group trainings, lectures and master classes will be organized. The program of the Campus provides for division into 3 departments: State administration and development, Business and entrepreneurship, Social projects.
The Summer Campus courses are organized with the use of the modern educational technologies, such as trainings, business games, business simulators and parliamentary debate. The training platform work will result in presentation of socially significant projects of the Campus participants.
The day before, on July 16, the meeting of Sergei Naryshkin, Chairman of the State Duma (and at the same time Academic Advisor of the Campus), and Vladimir Mau, Rector of the RANEPA, with the participants of the Summer Campus took place.
During the discussion, Sergei Naryshkin stressed the importance of the government’s involvement in forming a future talent pool: "The specialists in state and public management are in high demand now, but they will be even more needed tomorrow and in the near future. In Russia, this sphere has not yet been sufficiently equipped with the qualified personnel and each economic sector requires professional resources. It is extremely important that reputed universities purposefully train such specialists."
In his turn, Vladimir Mau thanked the expert for his support to the students’ core education noting that undergoing an internship at a supreme federal authority expands opportunities for the future specialists to apply their competences and expertise.
As usual, the Summer Campus gathers students of the leading foreign universities as well. To this end, Sergei Naryshkin emphasized Russia’s significant interest in attracting foreign students to participation in such educational projects. "The world is getting global, therefore it is important that our young people communicate more actively with their colleagues from other countries."
In conclusion, the Summer Campus Academic Advisor emphasized that it is the younger generation that can become a creative force able to offer unexpected and effective solutions to the pressing social and economic challenges the country faces and wished good luck to the participants of the Summer Campus – 2013.
