Students choose mobile applications, social business and restaurant
The second Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy in Tatarstan has finished. For eleven days the students from 27 cities of Russia took part in trainings and workshops of the leading representatives of the country’s government and business elite and looked for the ways of doing their own business.
Over 300 students from different Russian Universities gathered for the Summer Campus at the ski sports recreation complex "Kazan" (Tatarstan) to implement their ideas and develop leadership competences.
The educational format of the platform includes a series of trainings and workshops. High-profile representatives of federal and regional ministries, professors and experts from the best educational institutions of the world and specialists of major corporations delivered their lectures at the Campus.
For example, on the day of the Campus opening the students were able to talk to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, listen to the lecture by the Minister of Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov and take part in the workshop of the well-known investor – Ruben Vardanian, the Co-Head of Sberbank CIB.
On the final day of the Forum the participants presented group projects on social sphere, youth policy modernization and innovative business ideas.
The projects aimed at providing the most vulnerable groups in society with jobs were presented to the expert committee. Thus, the project "Clean Beach" is destined to help hearing-impaired persons find a job and at the same time address the lack of appropriate places for spending time in summer for Tatarstan citizens. Within the framework of the social block, establishment of the agency for adaptation of former convicts and the project for educational guidance for graduates of orphanage were presented.
Educational guidance for pupils was the subject of the "Transformer" project which offers a virtual tour to production facilities. At the simulated production facility the participants will be able to learn about a wide range of professions. "Transformer" will help to attract pupils to highly-demanded professions which lack human resources.
Projects for mobile phones also caught the interest of the participants. One of such projects was the mobile aggregator "Healthy Life". This application will bring together applications calculating calories, water balance and the level of physical activity and will form a virtual prototype of the user with further assessment of his or her performance.
The format of this application was chosen as the basis for another project. The students developed a program "Find-a-Guide" for searching for a guide in every corner of the world.
The projects fair finished with the presentation of a business plan aimed at establishment of a traditional Russian cuisine restaurant with innovative service – the so-called "magic tablecloth" serving meals when required.
Business center of the Republic of Tatarstan – Internet portal TatCenter.ru was the information partner of the Campus.
