Maria Mchedlova graduated from the Department of Philosophy of the Lomonosov Moscow State University majoring in Social Philosophy.
She underwent study and training courses at Humboldt University (Berlin), Sorbonne and the University of Provence (France). She holds a PhD in Political Sciences and works as an assistant professor.
Maria Mchedlova works at the Chair of Comparative Political Studies of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. She is also a visiting professor of the Institute of Political Studies of Bordeaux (France) and the University of Paris III: Sorbonne Nouvelle (France).
Ms Mchedlova heads the Center “Religion in the Modern Society”. She is an active participant of Russian and international conferences and congresses.
She is a member of the Russian Philosophical Society, Russian Association of Political Science and Presidium of the Research Committee.
She is the author of more than 80 publications in Russian, French and English, including 10 monographs.
