Ruben Vardanian graduated from the Economic Department of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
His post-graduate resume includes training at Banca CRT in Turin, Italy, Merrill Lynch’s Emerging Markets Training Program in New York City (1992), as well as Value Based Management and Dynamic Negotiations courses at INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France) and a top managers’ course at the Harvard Business School.
Since 2002 Mr. Vardanian has been General Director OJSC Rosgosstrakh.
He is the co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Troika Dialog Investment Company CJSC – one of the leaders in the Russian stock market.
Ruben Vardanian is on list of the Future Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum.
In 2002 he entered the Top-50 of the “1000 Most Professional Managers”.
He was acknowledged the Business Person of the Year by the American Chamber of Commerce “for his significant contribution to the development of business in Russia and observing the code of professional ethics”.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of several major professional organizations defining the structure of the Russia’s stock market (Russian National Association of Securities Market Participants (NAUFOR), RTS Exchange).
He is a member of the Expert Council of the Federal Commission on Securities Market (FCSM) of Russia.
Mr. Vardanian also heads the working group on reform of the Russian energy sector and the group developing the principles of corporate management in Russia at the Bureau of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE).
