In 2005 Georgy Gogolev graduated from the Lomonosov Moscow State University majoring in "Natural Resources Management and Environmental Expertise".
In 2008 he defended his PhD thesis on "The Outlook for the Use of Renewable Sources of Energy in the Russian Federation" at the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In 2009 Georgy Gogolev obtained his Masters in International Relations from Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia).
In 2004 he started working for the San Francisco Department of Environment where he run the project on environmental footprint assessment in the city of San Francisco and took part in the development of the international Urban Environmental Accords and organization of the "World Environment Day -2005" celebration.
Later he worked as Managing Director for Visual Hotels LLC in charge of business development and strategic planning.
Till 2009 he worked as an advisor on renewable energy and marketing at Innolume GmbH, the leading global producer of semiconductor lasers based on quantum dots.
Since September 2009 he has been delivering a series of lectures on renewable energy and energy efficiency at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
In 2009-2011 he worked as Head of Marketing & PR for Optogan CJSC. He was responsible for marketing strategy development and implementation, brand development, positioning in the Russian market and external communications.
Since 2011 Mr. Gogolev has been Director of the EcoLounge project and has been engaged in entrepreneurship and consulting activities.
He currently works as Head of High-Tech Product Markets Development Program for Russian Venture Company JSC.
